Long ago life for these animals was not too different than our life today, but fear and fervor lead to the rise of an iron-fisted regime run by "The Matriarch" Simonne Beltz. In the dull grey metropolis of Beltzgrad a standoffish rabbit named Elsie Vedas works a day job at a hydroponics farm with her girlfriend, a shy and courteous vixen named Roxanne Metz. As a side effect of the totalitarian dictatorship that rules the city colored paint is illegal for ordinary citizens, but Elsie, using some stealthily pilfered fruit, creates vibrant paints at home to go out and make subversive art on the highest walls in the city, but her childhood girlfriend is much more concerned for her safety than she is for any revolution that may or may not come.

Meanwhile the counter-government group known as "the defector's haven" has sent a young wolf woman,- known only as Mica-, to assassinate high ranking members of the ruling party, but Mica is having trouble maintaining her sanity as the job goes sour. Tormented by three hallucinations, -Diemos, Dolos, and Voithos-, at times she is unsure where the line between psychosis and reality lies. She is unaware of her past, and her comrades seem equally ignorant on the subject as well.
